Divers in High School must learn 5 dive directions to be able to fully compete in meets. Most of the time there’s only a few weeks for new divers to learn all 5 before competition season starts. That’s not a lot of time to safely learn all the dives they need. Quite often meets begin and there are still divers that haven’t been able to master at least one of those directions.
Usually, it’s either a Reverse or an Inward they’re having trouble with. Learning either of those dives as a new high school diver can be intimidating. It’s a scary proposition to throw yourself TOWARDS a diving board instead of away from it. At Redbird Diving Club we have the experience, the staff, and the facility to safely help divers learn these dives. |
